Our 2009 William S. Thomson Scholar- Nicole Archambault...

The William S. Thomson scholarship is awarded annually to an undergraduate/graduate student who was a previous Rotary Club of Southington Scholarship recipient as a senior in high school. The 2009 scholarship will be awarded to Nicole Achambault. Nicole was a 2006 graduate of Southington High School and the recipient of one of our Rotary Club of Southington Scholarships that year. Nicole is now a rising senior at the Bryant University, where she pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a double concentration in finance and management and a minor in sociology.

Nicole Archambault with Ellie Thomson

At Bryant, I am active in the Honors Program. I belong to three Bryant University Chapters of national honor societies including Alpha Kappa Delta, the National Sociology Honorary; Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society; and Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society serving select business school programs, in which I serve as the Student Vice President. In addition, I am a participant in the Archway Investment Fund, a program for select finance majors. Aside from academics, I am a Student Ambassador, a member of the Leadership Council, current President of Colleges Against Cancer, and former Director of Bryant’s Relay for Life in 2008. I spent two years working on campus as a manager within Bryant’s student union. In my final year, I will take on a new job title as an Admissions Fellow, where I will be responsible for interviewing Bryant’s prospective students.

I have been fortunate enough to embrace these incredible opportunities at school through the support and guidance of my parents, Darylanne and Rey Archambault, and my older brother, Ryan.
